Rod Wells Becomes Contender With Vehicle DynamiX |
|
Press Release – September 5, 2006 – Crandon, Wisconsin
After frustrating experiences with the suspension system at Bark River, Rod Wells began working with Mark Hansen and Vehicle DynamiX. Between the two races, the team was able to transform the truck from a bucking bronco that promised speed, but couldn't make it happen to a fledgling thoroughbred that has the potential to finish in front. Using the Bark River practices and races as development opportunities, Vehicle DynamiX studied the truck and determined the areas with the most potential for improvement in the limited time before the World Championships at Crandon.
Intense measuring of various characteristics of the truck's suspension led to complete re-springing and a corresponding shock development program. Although the development time was necessarily short and incomplete, tremendous improvements were achieved.
Rod said "Now I can put the truck where I want. I've never been able to do that before! It steers better than it ever has!" Rod and his crew also said "the truck could accelerate very well over the rough stuff after the Crandon start line. I could make up a second or two over other trucks simply because I could get the power to the ground back there!"
Suddenly this truck is a contender.
